The strength I tested today is called "Citizenship, Teamwork, and Loyalty". It can be defined as follows: You excel as a member of a group. You are a loyal and dedicated teammate, you always do your share, and you work hard for the success of your group.
I tested this strength by litterally being a part of a team. We had an intramural volleyball game tonight. I guess I tried to test this by being very supportive and positive with my teammates. I have played volleyball all of my life, and a few of the guys on my team have obviously not. It can get a little frustrating. So tonight I just decided to be really positive and supportive!
Pleasure: 6; While I LOVE being a part of a team, I must admit I am also VERY competitive! It wasn't a lot of fun to try to be really positive. Flow: 8; I think this activity really flowed, but I think that has to do with me doing something that I really love and really being into the game! Meaning: 7; It meant something to be supportive to my teammates. They seemed to notice and were grateful for it under the circumstances.
Debriefing: I will try this again. Like I said it isn't completely my style during athletics, but I can sure try again. It felt nice to make my teammates feel more comfortable during the game. It actually ended up helping in their performance.
