The strength I tested today is called "Citizenship, Teamwork, and Loyalty". It can be defined as follows: You excel as a member of a group. You are a loyal and dedicated teammate, you always do your share, and you work hard for the success of your group.
I tested this strength by litterally being a part of a team. We had an intramural volleyball game tonight. I guess I tried to test this by being very supportive and positive with my teammates. I have played volleyball all of my life, and a few of the guys on my team have obviously not. It can get a little frustrating. So tonight I just decided to be really positive and supportive!
Pleasure: 6; While I LOVE being a part of a team, I must admit I am also VERY competitive! It wasn't a lot of fun to try to be really positive. Flow: 8; I think this activity really flowed, but I think that has to do with me doing something that I really love and really being into the game! Meaning: 7; It meant something to be supportive to my teammates. They seemed to notice and were grateful for it under the circumstances.
Debriefing: I will try this again. Like I said it isn't completely my style during athletics, but I can sure try again. It felt nice to make my teammates feel more comfortable during the game. It actually ended up helping in their performance.

The strength that I tested this morning is called "Kindness and Generosity". It can be defined as the following: You are kind and generous to others, and you are never too busy to do a favor. You enjoy doing good deeds for others, even if you do not know them well.
I tested this strength by giving my roommate and one of my really good friends their Christmas presents this morning after breakfast. I had made them each tie blankets.
Pleasure: 9; I love giving presents! It is a lot of fun to see their faces and to see them use what I gave them. Flow: 7; This is hard to measure because it was such a brief activity. But if I go back to when I made the blankets I was really into it. Meaning: 9; It means a lot to be to be able to do something or give something that makes people that I love happy.
Debriefing: I would do this again in a heart beat. I plan to also. I love doing nice things for close friends and family. I makes me feel really good to make them happy. This activity really fit me!

The strength that I tested today is called "Spirituality, Sense of Purpose, and Faith". It can be defined as the following: You have strong and coherent beliefs about the higher purpose and meaning of the universe. You know where you fit in the larger scheme. Your beliefs shape your actions and are a source of comfort to you.
I tested this strength by attending my church. Instead of just sitting through the service thinking about the donuts afterwards I actually paid attention and listened intently.
Pleasure: 4; I'm not going to lie...church was not a lot of fun. My church is very traditional so it's a little tough to have fun. Flow: 6; The time did not go very quickly in the least. Meaning: 8; This did mean something to me. I felt connected to God. I really listened and understood a lot of what was being said.
Debriefing: I will do this again. I felt closer to God and my faith feels stronger now. Hopefully, it was become a little more fun.

The strength that I tested today was called "Curiosity and Interest in the World" It can be defined as follows: you are curious about everything. You are always asking questions, and you find all subjects and topics fascinating. You like exploration and discovery.
I tested this strength today by looking into studying abroad. I have always been interested in this, but I hadn't really looked into it. Today I sat down with my parents and really discussed studying in Spain. We talked about when would be the best time and whether it was feasible or not. We discussed how great of an experience it would be.
Pleasure: 9; This was really fun! I was really excited to even just talk about it. Flow: 9; I really got lost in the discussion and the thoughts of studying in a foreign country. Meaning: 9; This meant a lot to be. Like I said, this is something that I have always really wanted to do!
Debriefing: I would definitely talk about this again. We will soon! I am extremely interested in studying abroad. I'm super curious about the world and am excited to experience it!

The strength that I tested today was sort of unintentional. But it really did work out pretty well. This strength, Caution, Prudence, and Discretion" can be defined as: You are a careful person, and your choices are consistently prudent ones. You do not say or do things that you might later regret.
As I said, this strength was tested unintentionally. And this is pretty personal...but it just fit. Here is the situation: I have an ex boyfriend that things didn't really work out too well with. It was a really ugly situation. We haven't talked since we broke up. But...we started late last night and ended up talked for a few hours. I was extremely careful. I took everything very slow and thought before I said anything. We had a really nice conversation and are starting to at least rebuild a friendship.
Pleasure: 7; This did not feel very good at first, but slowly started to feel better. I ended up feeling pretty good about it. Flow: 9; Suprisingly, once we started talking and once I really started looking into what I was saying before I was saying it, time really moved really quickly. Meaning: 7; This meant something to me. I was both nice to restart a friendship. But it was also nice to know that the way we talked, by being extremely careful, helped the situtation immensly.
Debriefing: I will do this again. I will probably use this caution in every tough conversation that I have with someone. My "caution, prudence, and discretion" really did help to make the conversation go the way I would have liked it to go.
